Today, we’re highlighting the GX1 and GX2 electric scooters, two of our performance-series e-scooters. Featuring more power and more impressive specs than our regular commuter electric scooters, the GX1 and GX2 offer an exciting way to traverse your town or city, creating the ultimate commuting experience. We’ll be going over some of the GX1 and GX2’s best features, showing off what really makes them shine.

The GX1 and GX2 have a lot to offer. Their dual suspension and 10” tires can handle any road, ensuring a smooth commute no matter how rough or cracked the pavement is. Meanwhile, their digital displays give real-time readouts on the scooter’s speed, motor mode, battery life, and more. We made sure that control of your scooter lies at your fingertips, with dual braking and display controls sitting on the scooter’s handle for easy access as you ride. In addition, their sturdy aluminum alloy and steel frames can carry a capacity of up to 330 pounds, and they even fold for easier storage and carrying.

What’s the Difference?

In many ways, the GX1 and GX2 are very similar. However, there are three key differences between the two, giving them each their own unique advantages.

Motor

The GX1 and GX2 have different motors, which means they have different amounts of power. Although both scooters have powerful dual motors, allowing them to handle hills and slopes with ease, the GX1 has 600 watt motors, while the GX2 has 800 watt motors. This means the two have different max speeds as well: the GX1 can reach speeds of up to 48 km per hour, while the GX2 can make it all the way to 56 km per hour. Although the GX1 isn’t quite as fast as the GX2, both scooters offer plenty of speed, making each ride a blast.

Battery Size

Both the GX1 and GX2 have improved 48 volt batteries, giving them impressive ranges when compared to other e-scooters. However, the GX1 has a 720 watt hour battery, while the GX2 has a 960 watt hour battery. This means that GX2 can run for a longer period of time, traveling up to 40 miles per charge; the GX1, meanwhile, can go up to 25 miles per charge. On the other hand, the GX1 has a faster charging time, reaching maximum charge in five hours as opposed to seven. Each battery has its benefits, meaning the best scooter is simply the one that better meets your needs.

Price
Due to its better specs, the GX2 naturally comes in at a slightly higher price: the GX2 regularly costs $1799, $400 more than the GX1’s regular price of $1399. Although their costs vary, both scooters offer a plethora of amazing features and specs for their prices. The GX1 is a more budget-friendly option for those who are concerned about costs; on the other hand, if you want just a little bit more out of your e-scooter, the GX2 is the choice for you. Choosing between the two just depends on figuring out which scooter offers more of what you’re looking for.

The GX1 and GX2 are both fantastic e-scooters for serious riders who are looking to upgrade to an exhilarating new scooter experience. The slight differences between the two allow you to pick a scooter that best suits your needs without compromising on the quality of the scooter or the fun you have on it. Grab the scooter of your choice while you can: the GOTRAX Sale is still ongoing, so both scooters are $200 off for only a bit longer! Whether you go with the GX1 or the GX2, remember to ride safely and responsibly, and always wear a helmet.
