Best decision I’ve made for my commute. It glides over rough downtown pavement like it's nothing. The built-in lights give me huge peace of mind when heading home after dark. Plus, the folding mechanism is super smooth, so I can just fold it up and bring it inside the office. No more worrying about bike thieves.By the way, that photo I took is really cool.

The bike arrived withing the promised timeframe, although you didn't get detailed delivery instructions, other than picked up and out for delivery. The bike was easy to assemble using the instructions and tools provided. It did need a couple of adjustments to align the front wheel to go straight with the handlebars and the front disc brakes were rubbing slightly. Both were easy fixes with the included alan keys.

I took it easy, because I've fallen from an E-Bike previously using power in a tight circle and I found this bike easy to handle. I find the power assist pushing a little fast at 6 km/hr but it works if you're pushing the bike up an incline. I kept it in the default speed settings and find it works in pedal assist modes 0-5 with max speed of 32 km/hr. There is a notable pull in each gear as you change, and that's where you have to be careful if you enter a slow turn with power assist on because the bike will take off if you pedal or rotate the throttle.

The seat and handlebars are easy to adjust up/down and folding is a breeze if you want to pack it into a vehicle. As others have said it's a little heavy to lift, but this is common to all E-Bikes and this is a lighter one by comparison. I find the key position below the bike frame to be in an awkward position but it's easy to use for starting or removing the battery pack.

I'm 65 and have had a hip replacement, so I found the step through design very easy for mounting and dismounting. The pedal assist is great and you have to click through the 7 speeds to match the pedal resistance with the various speeds. Don't forget to gear down and reduce the power level as you reduce speed, so it will be easy to restart. I do recommend this E-Bike and I also feel the 3" fat tires will work well on uneven surfaces and packed gravel roads.

I bought an e-bike last year, and after the long winter, I had trouble getting it to start. I contacted customer support, and Sidereal, a very kind representative, helped me figure out the issue. It turned out to be something very simple — I was trying to start the bike while the battery was still connected to the charger.

Sidereal was patient, knowledgeable, and very helpful throughout the process. I’m extremely happy with both the service and the product.

As someone who loves exploring BC’s gravel trails, this fat-tire e-bike is a beast! It handles loose terrain and wet pavement with such stability. I also use the rear rack for grocery runs—it carries a heavy load without losing any power. Five stars for versatility and rugged build.

I originally bought this for commuting, but I’ve actually been using it even more on weekends to just get out and ride. It folds up small enough to toss in the trunk without taking up much space, so I can drive to a park or trail and then unfold it in seconds. The wide tires and front suspension make for a comfortable ride on all kinds of paths—paved or unpaved. Lightweight and easy to handle, it’s become my go‑to for weekend adventures. If you want a folding e‑bike that’s just as great for leisure rides as it is for daily trips, this one’s a winner.

I’ve been using this electric scooter for a while now and it’s been a great experience overall. The large wheels make it suitable for all kinds of terrain – from smooth pavements to slightly rougher roads – which adds a lot of versatility. It’s also foldable, making it really easy to store or carry when not in use. One of the best features is the high battery capacity; it lasts longer than I expected, so I don’t have to charge it constantly.

After watching every YouTube video, and scouring reddit regarding this bike, the impression i kept getting was it was a great value first ebike. They were absolutely right. I haven't been able to stop bombing around my city. I live up a pretty steep hill and this thing pulls me up at 25+ kph with light peddling. There was a fair bit of bad press regarding how gotrax customer service is, but I can say the small issue I brought up has been resolved so thoroughly I offered to buy another year of warranty. I was impressed.

This is a great bike and have enjoyed riding it. Solid build and good ride. The LED display was missing a screw for the handle bar clamp and customer support promptly sent me a replacement. Excellent customer support. (Thanks, Lydia)

C'est mon premier vélo électrique. Je l'ai acheté en ligne directement de la compagnie GoTrax Canada. J'étais un peu septique concernant la qualité et la facilité d'utilisation mais après avoir regardé plusieurs vidéos, je me suis lancée et je ne regrette pas du tout mon achat. L'expédition a été rapide mais il y a eu un petit délai de livraison avec Dicom; ils ont eu un bris de camion. J'ai préféré aller chercher ma boîte directement chez Dicom à 12 minutes de chez-moi. Très facile à monter avec les instructions claires et les outils fournis; j'ai fait ça toute seule 💪😅 Après avoir rechargé la batterie, j'ai pu aller l'essayer sur la piste cyclable près de chez-moi. J'ai été agréablement surprise par maniabilité, la rapidité et la facilité à manoeuvrer ce vélo; je ne voulais plus arrêter. J'ai roulé/pédalé plusieurs minutes 😀 J'ai très hâte de l'essayer sur de longues distances pour vraiment apprécier tous les avantages de ce vélo. Je vous le recommande. Merci GoTrax Canada!

I became interested in ebikes after my wife and I took my aunt and uncles out for rides. Never knew they could be such fun! Decided to shop around after seeing another brand had a buy one get one free special. Even after that sale price, the Gotrax was a better deal. So after a lot of research, reading reviews and watching videos we decided to go with two Gotrax R2s. The price was very attractive and we like the idea of a folding bike that we can throw in the back of our RAV4. The bikes were shipped to us within a week. Set up was a piece of cake. Install the front fender and wheel. Slide in the handle bars and seat post and your done! And they seem to be well built. The tool kits are a nice added touch. We have taken our bikes on only a few rides. Have only around 60km on them. And are loving them a lot! We are looking forward to many years of use. I know the e-bikes will entice us to get out a lot more and be more active. Which was one of my main goals. Only thing I have noticed so far on both of our bikes is that each one was missing one of the screws which holds on the display monitor. It’s a small M3 screw, which isn’t available in my town so I will have to pick up a couple when we get to the city. Otherwise everything seems to be in very nice shape! I have shown our bikes to three other people and all three of them are shopping for Gotrax ebikes now! Lol. They all could not believe the pick up and never knew an E bike could be so fun. Good job Gotrax!

bike is great, foldability is ease of use making storage so much easy,
cruising around minimum 20mph around town is nice,
i have moderate, to steep hills in my city which takes up i would say 25-60% of my rides, depending which route i take, i got around 30miles on this bike with medium grade hills including on a full charge, with mainly throttle only, i did pedal assist up the hills thou, but besides that the battery life is great, if u keep it at a lower speed im sure u can even get better range but then ull be traveling at 10mph, which i guess if thats a speed your comfy at thats good, but i prefer to hit the max speed as possible.
anyways bike is solid, i got no complaints about it, u should buy it and try it out!

The bike is clearly one of the better ones out there. I'm only 5'8" long legged but did feel not enough distance between the seat and handle bars. With the seat raised for a typical leg extension getting on and off was difficult. A friend who has one and recommended to me bought mine for his daughter. He is HUGE and loves it.
