When I first bought the GOTRAX ebike, I thought: "If the battery dies, I can always pedal to my destination!" As the year went by, I realized that the battery NEVER died, and I never needed to pedal to my destination! Instead, I have enjoyed the most sturdy ebike of the 5 I have owned!! The others are all NCM, a brand out of Germany. The difference is the GEOMETRY of the frame. This is a factor most youtube(R) videos do NOT cover! Yet, it is probably the most important factor contributing to the feel of your ride. For example: If you feel like a bird perched atop a telephone pole as compared with resting in a nest, that is the difference between my NCM ebikes, that I never use, and the GOTRAX which I use DAILY, multiple trips. Here's the difference: When you sit in the cockpit of the GOTRAX ebike, you feel in total control of the ebike. You feel as though you will never wipe out! Contrasting that with my other e-bikes...I have wiped out too many times to count. One wipe out left me in bed for two weeks, because I was unable to stop swiftly enough. The GOTRAX frame geometry puts my weight and the weight of the battery closer to the road. The result is a stable and controlled ride. I ride my GOTRAX ebike mainly on paved surfaces, to and from shops, work, and meetings. When I had a bit of trouble AFTER the warranty ran out, the company put a very helpful person onto it, and for under $100, with the controller matched and the sensor on the crankarm axle both installed, I was up and running again within two weeks, including shipping and installation! Meanwhile, I was still able to use the GOTRAX, because it is completely able to use as a road bike, even without the electric assistance! I have been telling all my friends to buy this model of ebike: GOTRAX EBE2, to feel safe, comfortable, and enjoy their ride to the fullest! You should to.
